Lightroom is developed by Adobe as a photo workflow solution aimed at professional photographers and serious amateurs. It is designed to be an all-in-one toolbox for managing, editing and presenting large volumes of digital images.
In this workshop, we will have an in-depth look at Lightroom's Develop Module tool set and concentrate on learning the robust editing tools for processing raw captures to make your images shine.
We will be using both the instructor and participants' raw captures for demonstration and comparison throughout the session. Participants will each bring one sample file fully processed and the instructor will process the same set of raw captures using various editing tools within the Develop Module for comparison. As a bonus, each participant will enjoy a take-home print of his or her processed file.

Life After Digital was conceived from a photographer’s lament that there is no life after digital: you shoot hundreds of frames and are locked up at the computer for the rest of the day if not days, organizing, adjusting and processing files.
The Life After Digital initiative consists of intimate seminars and artist talks in the IX Gallery. From time to time, we offer workshops aimed at demystifying and smoothing out the digital workflow.
In partnership with guest artists and experts, we will inspire you while giving you the tools to work more efficiently, produce quality images and in the process reclaim a good portion of your personal time. Particular attention will be given to print-oriented issues, for artists who would like to explore the potential of current technologies to open new doors and bring ideas to life.
The LAD mandate is to have fun. Our goals are to create a community spirit, encourage discussion, and foster a better understanding of the possibilities of digital imaging and printing.
