For the Photography After Dark workshop, we’ll visit one of the darkest night sky locations in Southern Ontario. Located 2 hours north of Toronto this unique spot offers an opportunity to try your hand at taking photographs of the night sky.
With the rapid advance of digital camera technology, today’s cameras are capable of producing photographs that were not possible just a few years ago. This workshop is designed to show you how to get started with taking pictures after the sun sets. We’ll discuss the gear you need, how to photograph stars, light painting techniques, calculating exposure, finding focus, getting sharp images and other techniques for night photography.
We keep our workshop groups small, so what you’ll receive is hands-on, one-on-one photography instruction. Student to instructor ratio is 5:1. You don’t need to run out and buy the latest and greatest, but you should have a DSLR. If you’re not sure if you have the right gear, send me an EMAIL. Gear rental is also an option.
