The Bruce Peninsula National Park is on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.  The Bruce Peninsula consists of limestone cliffs, ancient forests, caves and the Niagara Escarpment as its base.
My photographs are reflective of the rugged shorelines and their natural beauty.

Susan Manzer, I live in Thamesford, Ontario with my husband Jim and daughter Sara.  Over the past few years I started my photography journey, although I haven’t travelled far I have enjoyed where I’ve been.  Always having an interest in photography a few years ago I took a photography course at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.  At the current time I have completed two outdoor workshops in Ontario, but aspire to extend my passion for photography to other parts of the world in the near future.

My name is Jill Lam. This is my first photography workshop. And also my first time to Bruce Peninsula National Park. We stayed at the Yurts near Cyprus Lake. I took this picture at the first morning. The Cyprus Lake is peaceful and beautiful.

This picture I took at the shore inside the national park.  I like the turquoise waters and also the rock of the escarpment cliffs along Bruce Peninsula National Park's Georgian Bay shoreline.

BEAUTY OF NIGHT SKIES
I took this picture at the Little Cove. This was my first outdoor expedition with experienced photographers, Louis and Ariel.
Primarily, I set the camera focus on the Polaris. My intention was to make a time-lapse to capture a sequence of frames. This photo was one of the images found in the collection. In this picture, I found the Milky Way, the Northern Lights and a meteoroid.

BRAVO
This photo was taken from the Boulder Beach of the Bruce Peninsula and the scene inspired me. I believe that this picture is representative of my mentality. No matter the situation, I do not waver and I have the strength to embark on any challenge!

Photography After Dark Workshop

For the Photography After Dark workshop, we’ll visit one of the darkest night sky locations in Southern Ontario. Located 2 hours north of Toronto this unique spot offers an opportunity to try your hand at taking photographs of the night sky.

With the rapid advance of digital camera technology, today’s cameras are capable of producing photographs that were not possible just a few years ago. This workshop is designed to show you how to get started with taking pictures after the sun sets.

IN THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL LEARN

  • the gear you’ll need
  • finding focus and getting sharp images
  • calculating exposure
  • shooting star trails
  • shooting the milky way
  • light painting techniques

We keep our workshop groups small, so what you’ll receive is hands-on, one-on-one photography instruction. Student to instructor ratio is 5:1. You don’t need to run out and buy the latest and greatest, but you should have a DSLR. If you’re not sure if you have the right gear, send an EMAIL to us.
